WalletConnect

WalletConnect connects BESC Wallet to dApps running somewhere else, like a website on your computer or another app on your phone. Your keys stay in BESC Wallet; the dApp sends requests, and you approve them on your phone.

WalletConnect works in both Basic and Pro mode. Open it from Settings → Connections & apps → WalletConnect.

Connect a dApp

  1. On the dApp, choose WalletConnect (sometimes "Other wallets"). It shows a QR code or a link.
  2. Connect BESC Wallet:
    • From your computer: scan the QR code with your phone's camera. It opens BESC Wallet.
    • On the same phone: tap BESC Wallet in the dApp's list, or copy the wc:… link and paste it into Settings → WalletConnect → Paste URI, then Connect.
  3. Review Connect to [dApp]?: the requested networks and methods.
  4. Tap Approve Session.

Approving requests

When the dApp needs something signed, BESC Wallet shows a review sheet first, then asks you to confirm with biometrics or your passcode if you've set an app lock.

WalletConnect requests use the same review sheets as the dApp browser:

NetworkReview
EVM networksTransaction review with balance changes (simulated when possible), approvals and fee; typed-data review for Permit, Permit2 and Seaport signatures
SolanaSimulated transaction review, or the message review (transaction-shaped "messages" are blocked)
Tron and Cosmos HubDecoded transaction review
Bitcoin and XRP LedgerSend, PSBT and message reviews
Sui and AptosThe request's method and details. Only approve if you trust this app and expected this action. Tap Approve Request.

Manage sessions

Active sessions lists every connected dApp. Disconnect any you're not using.

Supported networks

WalletConnect signing works for these network families in BESC Wallet: EVM, Solana, Cosmos, Bitcoin, Tron, Aptos, Sui and XRP Ledger.

TIP

For dApps on your phone, the built-in browser is often easier: open the dApp in the Browser tab and connect directly.

BESC Wallet is self-custody software. You alone control your keys and recovery phrase.
