Swap
Swap one token for another without leaving the wallet, on the same network or across networks. BESC Wallet asks many swap providers for a route at once, ranks them, and shows you exactly what you'll get before you sign.
Open it from Swap on Home, or Hub → Swap. Swap works in both Basic and Pro mode.
Where routes come from
For each trade, BESC Wallet asks every provider that supports it, in parallel. Each route is the provider's own quote and the provider's own transaction for your wallet, so anything you're shown can actually be executed. Providers that fail, time out or return something inconsistent are left out.
| Network | Providers compared |
|---|---|
| BESC Hyperchain | BESC Swap (plus direct BESC ↔ WBESC wrapping at 1:1) |
| Ethereum, BNB Chain, Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, Avalanche | 1inch, 0x (Matcha), Velora (ParaSwap), KyberSwap, OpenOcean, SushiSwap, fly.trade, Uniswap V3, PancakeSwap V3, LI.FI (which adds routes from other aggregators it connects to), Relay, deBridge, Symbiosis, Rubic, Bridgers |
| Solana | Jupiter, Raydium, LI.FI, deBridge |
| Tron | SunSwap, Bridgers, LI.FI |
| Sui | LI.FI |
| Aptos | Panora |
| XRP Ledger | The XRP Ledger's own DEX and AMM |
| Across networks | LI.FI, Relay, deBridge, Rubic, Symbiosis, Bridgers, THORChain |
Not every provider covers every network or token pair; you'll see the ones that do. XY Finance is also integrated, but its service is currently unavailable, so it returns no routes; its routes are ranked automatically whenever it answers again. Odos is no longer used: it shut down on 2026-07-30.
Swaps on non-EVM networks
- Tron: SunSwap, Bridgers and LI.FI (which routes through SunSwap).
- Sui: through LI.FI, which routes across Sui DEXs.
- Aptos: Panora.
- XRP Ledger: priced and settled on the XRP Ledger's own DEX and AMM, so no third party holds your funds. To swap an XRPL token, add it to your wallet first (as
rIssuer::CURRENCY). If your wallet can't hold the token yet, the button reads Add trust line & Swap: approving adds the trust line first, then swaps. A trust line holds a small XRP reserve while it exists (see XRP Ledger reserve). - Bitcoin, XRP and ATOM across networks: through THORChain. Your wallet sends the coins to THORChain's vault with a memo that tells it what to deliver and where.
Step by step
1. Set up
- You pay: choose the token and amount. Your balance is shown underneath; tap it, or Max, to use it all. Shortcuts: 25%, 50%, Max.
- You receive: choose the token and network. Use the token picker, or Paste a contract or mint address to swap into any token. Your balance of it is shown too.
- The live rate and the amount you'll receive update as you type. Tap ⇅ to flip the direction.
Max keeps a little for fees
When you pay with the network's own coin, Max leaves enough behind for the network fee (on EVM networks, based on the live gas price), and for the minimum balance some networks require (for example the Solana rent minimum and the XRP Ledger reserve). If your amount is more than your balance, the button reads Insufficient … balance.
The default pair follows your network. Until you pick your own pair, the swap screen starts from the network selected on Home: its coin into that network's main stablecoin (for example ETH → USDC on Ethereum, BNB → USDT on BNB Chain, BESC → BUSDC on BESC Hyperchain, XRP → RLUSD on XRP Ledger). On Bitcoin and Cosmos Hub it starts with a cross-chain swap into ETH on Ethereum.
2. Check the swap settings
The Swap settings card shows:
| Setting | Default | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Slippage | 1% | The most the price may move against you before the swap cancels itself. |
| Gas profile | Balanced | How fast you want it confirmed: Economy, Balanced, Fast or Turbo. |
| MEV | On, where available | What protection your swap gets on this network. See MEV protection. |
Tap Advanced to change them. Slippage presets are 0.5%, 1%, 1.5% and 2%, or set a custom value from 0.01% up to 50% (some tokens with a built-in transfer tax need more). The app warns you that high slippage increases risk.
Tap Continue To Review.
3. Choose a route
Under the review you'll see the best route BESC Wallet found, for example Best of 9 routes · arrives ~30s · needs approval, with Compare to open every route. Select Route lists them ranked by what you receive after network fees, each tagged when it applies: Best, Fastest or Instant, Lowest fee, Needs approval. Providers that had no route or didn't answer in time are counted underneath.
4. Cross-chain: pick the receiving wallet
When you swap to another network, the route card shows Receive on [network] with the wallet that will get the funds. Tap Change to choose:
- Your wallets on that network. Wallets from the same recovery phrase are marked Same recovery phrase.
- Add [network] wallet from my recovery phrase, if you don't have one there yet. Approve with biometrics or your passcode, and the wallet is added from your phrase and selected.
- Or paste an address. If it isn't one of your wallets, you'll see a warning that funds sent to a wrong address can't be recovered and that exchange deposit addresses may not credit cross-chain transfers, and you must tick to confirm before you can use it.
By default the receiving wallet is your own: the same address on EVM networks, or your wallet on the destination network.
5. Review
The Review swap screen shows everything before you sign:
- You pay and You receive, each with its network and USD value. If what you receive is worth noticeably less than what you pay, the difference is shown in percent.
- The rate (tap it to flip it).
- Minimum received: the least you'll get after slippage. If the price moves further, the swap cancels and only the network fee is spent.
- Price impact: how much your trade moves the pool price. When a provider doesn't report it, it's worked out from both tokens' USD prices (marked vs market price). At 5% or more you'll see High price impact (15% or more: Very high price impact) and must tick I understand I may receive … less before you can continue.
- Network fee in the network's coin and USD.
- Provider fees, itemised when the provider charges any (for example a bridge or destination-gas fee), or No provider fee. Then the Total cost in USD when every fee is known.
- Max slippage (tap to edit), the route with Best of N quotes and Compare, and the Est. time.
- Safety checks on the token you're buying (for example [token] contract scanned, Rug check passed), the route (Best price of N) and the MEV protection for this network. The strip reads All safety checks passed or Safety checks found a problem. If rug protection flags the token, you'll see Protection flagged this token with the reasons.
Quotes expire. A countdown shows New price in …s. When it reaches zero the quote is refreshed automatically a few times; after that you'll see Refresh Quote. You can't sign an expired price.
The confirm button stays pinned at the bottom of the screen. It reads, for example, Swap 0.5 ETH for USDC, or Approve USDC & Swap when a one-time approval is needed first. If you're paying with a token but have none of the network's coin for the fee, it reads Not enough … for network fee. Edit Swap takes you back.
6. Execute
Approve with biometrics or your passcode if you've set a lock. You'll see each step:
- Preparing swap: building the transaction for your wallet.
- Approving the token (first time only): a one-time approval so the swap can use your token.
- Submitting swap: signing and sending.
- Confirming on [network]: usually a few seconds.
- Swap complete: the new token is in your wallet, with the amount that actually arrived.
You can leave the screen; the swap keeps going in the background. If the network is busy you'll see Still processing, and the swap settles on its own. View in Explorer shows the transaction.
If something fails before it's sent, you'll see Nothing was swapped. Your funds are safe.
MEV protection
MEV bots watch the public mempool for swaps they can front-run or "sandwich". What BESC Wallet does about it depends on the network, and the swap screen tells you which applies:
| Network | What happens | Label you'll see |
|---|---|---|
| Ethereum | Your signed swap is sent privately through Flashbots Protect instead of the public mempool. | Private via Flashbots Protect |
| BNB Smart Chain | Sent privately through PancakeSwap MEV Guard, with 48 Club as a fallback. | Private via PancakeSwap MEV Guard |
| Solana | Also sent through the Jito block engine, alongside the normal network. | Also sent via Jito block engine |
| Base, Optimism, Arbitrum | These networks order transactions through a sequencer and have no public mempool. | Sequencer-ordered: no public mempool |
| Other networks | No private route is available. | MEV protection not available on [network] |
MEV protection is on by default and can be switched off in Advanced (the label then reads Off: sent to the public mempool). After the swap, the route line says how it was actually sent, for example Sent privately via Flashbots Protect, or Private route unavailable: sent via public RPC if the private route didn't accept it and the swap went out normally.
Fees
You pay the network fee in the network's coin (BESC, ETH, BNB…), so keep a little of it in your wallet. Exchange fees are already included in the quoted amount; provider and bridge fees are itemised on the review when a provider reports them.
Safer swaps
- Check the token's safety first if you don't know it.
- Keep slippage low unless the token needs more.
- Watch the price impact on small or new tokens.
