Transaction protections
BESC Wallet runs checks before you sign to catch scams and costly mistakes. Turn them on or off in Settings → Transaction safety. All three are on by default, and we recommend leaving them on.
Phishing guard
Checks websites in the dApp browser before they load.
- High-risk sites are blocked before they open.
- Signing requests from flagged sites show a clear warning.
Transaction simulation
Previews what a swap transaction will do before you sign it, on EVM networks.
- If the simulation can't run, the swap is not sent. You're asked to refresh the route or try another venue.
- If the simulation flags high risk, you see a review screen with the details before anything is signed.
Rug protection
Extra checks on the token you're swapping into: liquidity, contract risks and known scam patterns. The results appear in the swap's Safety checks.
Always on
These run no matter what:
| Protection | Where |
|---|---|
| Token safety check | Check Token on any token; runs automatically when you add a token or swap into one |
| Price impact warnings | Swap review, when a trade would move the price a lot |
| Minimum received | Every swap cancels itself instead of filling at a worse price than you allowed |
| MEV protection | Swaps, on by default: private routing on Ethereum (Flashbots Protect) and BNB Chain (PancakeSwap MEV Guard), the Jito block engine on Solana. See MEV protection |
| Address checks | Send warns about your own address, incomplete addresses, resolved names and full-balance sends |
| Approval review | The Security tab lists spending approvals so you can revoke them |
| App lock on every signature | With a passcode or biometrics set, every send, swap, bridge, staking action and dApp or WalletConnect request needs your approval |
| Signing review | dApp and WalletConnect requests open a review sheet for their network first: simulated balance changes where available, decoded permits, blocked disguised Solana transactions. See dApp browser |
| Spam in Activity | Likely address-poisoning and spam transactions are dimmed and tagged Possible spam |
| Double-send protection | Solana and EVM transfers are signed once, so a retry through a backup node can't send twice |
| Bridge minimums | You can't send less than a bridge's minimum (amounts below it can be lost) |
INFO
Checks greatly reduce risk but can't catch everything. When something feels off, stop and verify.
