Hardware wallets
A hardware wallet keeps your private key on a separate device. BESC Wallet prepares the transaction, you approve it on the device, and BESC Wallet sends it. The key never touches your phone.
Supported devices
| Device | How it connects | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Ledger | Bluetooth (iPhone and Android) or USB cable (Android) | ✅ Supported |
| Keystone | QR codes (air-gapped) | ✅ Supported |
| SafePal | — | ⏳ Not yet. SafePal's signing flow will be enabled once it's integrated and verified. |
Hardware wallets work across BESC Wallet's networks. Ledger connects directly for EVM networks and Solana. For other networks, you approve on the device and bring the signed transaction back into BESC Wallet (paste or scan).
Connect a hardware wallet
- Go to Settings → Wallets & networks → Hardware wallets.
- Choose your device and follow the steps.
- Verify the address: the address in BESC Wallet must match what your device shows. Always check this.
Hardware wallets show a Hardware badge, and Home shows Hardware secured.
Sending with Ledger
- Start a Send as usual and tap Review.
- Tap Prepare Signing.
- Connect Ledger over Bluetooth, or by USB on Android. Allow Bluetooth or USB access when asked.
- Confirm On Ledger: check the details on the device's screen and approve.
- When BESC Wallet shows The signed transaction is ready to send, tap Confirm & Send.
Sending with Keystone (QR)
- Start a Send and tap Prepare Signing. BESC Wallet shows an animated QR code.
- Scan it with your Keystone and approve on the device.
- Tap Scan Signed QR and scan the Keystone's signed code. Animated codes are scanned frame by frame until the full transaction is rebuilt.
- Confirm & Send.
Always check the device screen
The hardware wallet's own screen is the source of truth. If the address or amount there doesn't match what you intended, reject it on the device.
